About parlhub
parlhub is a portal for the parliaments of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. You can look up members, parties, councils, committees, votes, speeches and documents. Beyond the raw records, it works out things the official data doesn't show: voting alignment, group loyalty, lobbying ties, speech vocabulary and more. All of it is laid out as interactive tables and charts.
The data
All data comes from OpenParlData.ch. They collect the official parliamentary data, clean it up and publish it as open data. That is hard, unglamorous work. parlhub would not exist without it. If you like this site, their project deserves a big part of the credit. Go have a look.
The numbers on this site (alignment, loyalty and so on) are computed by parlhub from that data. If a computation is wrong, that's on me, not on OpenParlData.ch.
Who runs this
I build and run parlhub alone, in my spare time, as a non-profit project. There are no ads and no tracking. Nobody pays me for it. Only the servers and domain cost money. If you want to help carry that, write me. The site stays free either way.
Developers and political-science researchers who want to contribute are very welcome too. Just get in touch.
The code is open source. Found a bug? Missing something? Tell me on GitHub.
What parlhub is not
parlhub does not rate politicians. It shows data. What the data means is up to you.
